Eden’s 2004 Syrah Old Vines saturates the nose and palate with blueberry, chocolate, mint and black pepper. With remarkable freshness for a wine so rich and over 15% alcohol, it finishes with a slightly raw intensity and faint warmth, although a few years might well bring out more finesse and complexity in this impressively concentrated, ripe Syrah.
