If you have a passion for flight, aeronautics, or you just want to experience gliding through the sky, then do your best to win this item!
The team at WVSC will show you a flying experience like nothing else. Riding in a sailplane (or glider, if you prefer) is the purest form of flying there is. You'll be sitting in the front seat with your pilot flying from the rear seat behind you. Once you have reached your release altitude, your pilot will release the glider from the plane towrope by pulling a lever, and you will find yourself in motorless, silent flight. Now you are gently floating through the air, with plenty of time to take in the view. In the small, quiet setting of a sailplane, you will experience the true freedom of the skies!
The normal soaring season is usually from early April through late October. We fly, weather permitting, on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
The gliderport is located at 11870 NW Dersham Road, North Plains, OR.
Special Instructions
Winning bidder is responsible for shipping and handling fee for any items won. Items may be picked up at Sunstone Montessori School for no charge, or they may be shipped via USPS (gift certificates and other paper items) or UPS and billed at standard industry rates. Shipping and handling fee will be added to the winning bid amount at the close of the auction.
