Description
Sitti, a kind and generous old woman, helps a cat and is rewarded with great wealth by Malika, Queen of the Cats. Her greedy and unpleasant neighbor also meets the Queen and demands a gift, but she is given wasps instead of gold. Kindness and generosity are the values taught in this folktale from Palestine, giving children a positive view of Middle Eastern culture. Adapted from the book, "Sitti and the Cats" by Sally Bahous.
