Description

Enjoy this delightful, whimsical and colorful giclee "children's theme" print from a collection by noted artist Lois Gordon Ehrin.  "Spring Swing" is a limited-edition print, a reproduction of an original painting, that is signed and numbered by the artist.  It is among images that will be included in the artist's upcoming book, " Just About A Year" - set for release in 2010 - with a focus on teaching children the seasons, the months and the calendar.

The print is 7" x 11," including the mat, and is printed on German etching paper.  The image has a decorative 2" border, along with a small line of white trim.

Lois Gordon Ehrin was born into a family of artists and musicians. At age 8, she was selected to attend Saturday art classes for gifted children at Pittsburgh's Carnegie Museum. She continued study in these Carnegie endowed classes through her junior and senior high school classes at Carnegie Mellon University. Lois received an undergraduate degree in Art Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Further study at the University of Pittsburgh and Penn State University earned her a Master of Education degree. She later received an MFA degree from Arcadia University.

Lois' exhibits have included Art in the Atrium and at Penn State's Ogontz Campus, the University of Rochester's Memorial Gallery and in Naples, Florida and Nantucket.

Never forgetting her passion for encouraging children's artistic exploration, Lois is currently completing writing and illustrating an imaginative children's book, along with a series of illustrative cards. Lois Ehrin's watercolor and acrylic landscapes of scenes around the world convey her love of nature and her commitment to the protection of the pristine beauty which nature and man have created.

This delightful print would be a welcome addition to any young girl's room!
