Description

Be the lucky owner of this very unusual, formal CARL F. BUCHERER 18K gold, "mid-size" wrist watch, with a unique decorative 18K gold bracelet.

The watch was purchased in Switzerland during the summer of 1962 or 1963. On the face of the watch, under the 12-hour mark, is the company logo and BUCHERER in print and, under the 6 hour mark, is printed "Swiss Made." Included is the watch's original box with royal blue lining.

On the reverse side of this Bucherer watch is the words 18K, inside of a rectangular box, and under that is the number 902. The wrist bracelet is also 18K gold, and on the clasp are three distinct informational identifications: 16AR, 750, FAO. The bracelet was made in Rome in 1964.

The watch has been in a safe for decades as it has not been worn in many years and has always been kept in the original blue box. It also keeps time accurately. The gold content was evaluated recently by a certified appraiser and the total stated weight of gold is .6922oz.

Beside the fact of the gold involved, it is a beautiful and stunning piece of work, with what is described as a "Florentine" finish. This watch certainly would bring a smile to someone special for the upcoming holidays or be of interest to a watch collector.

This Carl F. Bucherer watch has been viewed by several well-known watch dealers and both agreed on the proper opening bid, as well as the value.
