There are children in our district who are identified as needing glasses but who cannot afford them.  Distance vision that is greater than 20/50 has a profound impact on a student’s academic performance and overall well being. Difficulty with distance vision leads to fatigue, headache and missed instructional time.  Glasses for many students are funded through programs such as Medicaid and Hudson Health Plan.  But some students are simply not insured.  These uninsured students are unable to obtain the glasses they so desperately need.  Won’t you please help?
