Description
The best way to prevent heart disease is to know your risk. The latest technology to identify this risk is available at South Denver Heart Center. We are the Rocky Mountain region’s experts in cardiovascular care and home of the Calcium Heart Score evaluation.
The Calcium Heart Score is designed to measure the calcium levels in the coronary arteries by rotating a thin x-ray beam around the patient to create a computer imaged “slice” of the heart. The Calcium Heart Score captures images of a beating heart in five heartbeats, more than twice as fast as conventional multi-slice CT scanners. This calcium “score” provides you with the degree of calcification, which can determine your risk of having a heart attack in the future.
