Description
Join UCLA Professor Andrea Ghez and her team for a night of research using the world's largest telescope without leaving LA!
Andrea and her team will be controlling the Keck telescope (located in Hawaii) from Knudsen Hall (on UCLA's campus) and carrying out
observations on the massive black hole at the center of our Galaxy, a research program that has been featured in documentaries such as NOVA's "Monster of the Milky Way" (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/blackhole/).
This event can be scheduled for 1 hour during any one of the following days May 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 (4:30 am - 7:30 am) or July 30, 31 (11 pm - 2 am).
Special Instructions
This opportunity is limited to a maximum of 3 people, who will need to respect that research will be taking place and that telescope time is very precious.
