Located on a mountainside high above Dry Creek Valley, the rocky soils of Paolo’s Vineyard produce intensely flavored grapes at naturally low yields. Using organic materials and biodynamic practices, Vincent & Lise Ciolino farm their estate vineyards and olive groves with the help of their dog, two cats, five sheep, and fifteen chickens.  The 2002 Syrah has received many accolades including a score of 93 and "Top 10 Syrah" from Wine&Spirits Magazine, Wine of the Week by the Orange County Register, and Top Sonoma County Syrah by the San Francisco Chronicle.  Montemaggiore is not typically open to the public, but the lucky winner will also be treated to a private tour by either Vincent (the winegrower) or Lise (the winemaker).
