Ms. Avetisian has been teaching at the school for more than 23 years. She is a wonderful artist and has inspired many children to explore artistic venues.  After a visit to Australia several years ago, Ms. Avetisian became fascinated by Aboriginal art. She then adopted a similar style of painting in her own work sharing her stories through her art. 

This painting has been created by chopsticks and acrylic paint, and is 20” by 20”.  The circles in the center are representation of a community (taken from Aboriginal symbols), and in some ways represent the strong and solid UCLA Lab School community who work together to create amazing spaces for children to grow and prosper.
