Framed triptych of edition of prints by Cliff Garten of Cliff Garten Studio. 
Floated in a black wood frame are three prints, created through a digital process, of the Iris.  The three prints are printed on cotton paper with ultra chrome ink. At the bottom of each print you will find the edition, title and signature of the artist.
The edition of prints exhibit intricate line works that depict contours or sections of digitally rendered three-dimensional forms. The suite of colorful, linear prints reconsiders a digitally generated model of the Iris, among other floral species. The sections sliced from the initial model are layered, alluding to the experience of the original three-dimensional piece while also referencing the hand drawn mathematical curves produced by the Spirograph, a geometric drawing toy introduced in the mid 1960s. This direct visual connection bridges the two vastly different technologies, revealing startlingly alternate methods in which artwork can be produced.
 
The framed piece measures approximately 36”W x 22.5” H x 2” D
