Golden Gate Tutoring Network is committed to enhance Marin education through: Honing skills, Developing character, Mentoring lives, Serving families
Golden Gate Tutoring Network is a group of young professionals who believe tutoring and mentoring go hand in hand. Daniel & Celeste Ezell started the business in 2005 with a few colleagues while they were seminary students in Mill Valley. They are committed to serving Marin County through tutoring students, mentoring young people and serving families. The couple graduated in May and moved to downtown San Anselmo because "the community seemed so open and friendly." Now they are open for tutoring at their home on 140 Tunstead Ave. GGTN has supplemented the education of students from age 5 through 80 with test prep, homework help, language learning with native speakers, and computer training and some of their students are now at Cal Berkely, UCLA and USC.
What programs do you offer?
Golden Gate Tutoring Network tutoring is highly individualized. Tutors tailor fit tutoring for each student according to his or her learning goals. For the student who is often bored with schoolwork, the tutor can challenge him/her to delve deeper into the subject with enlightening activities and research. For the student who lacks motivation to attempt homework, the tutor will help her understand the material, get started and even love learning it. For the disorganized student, the tutor will help him set goals, develop a personal method of keeping track of assignments, and follow up with him regularly regarding his progress.
