An African Night for Ten Go on safari without leaving Berkeley! Take your palate in new directions with an African-inspired meal prepared by members of the Canvas Underground, a supper club headed by chef Peter Jackson which carries on the tradition of the Ghetto Gourmet. The setting? EB parents Jennifer and Norman Villarina?s beautiful 1937 Maybeck home located in the Kensington hills overlooking Tilden Park. Dinner will be followed by a wildlife photography show and fascinating travel tales by EB trustee and alumna Kili McGowan, owner of the Next Adventure and Safari, a company specializing in luxury safaris to Africa and beyond. EB trustees and parents Jacqueline Van Lang and Tamara Daney will help orchestrate the evening and will prepare a display of West African art as well as music from various African traditions for your enjoyment.
