The apartment is about 400 or 450 square feet, and is a studio.  It has a full bed with large windows overlooking a little courtyard.  It has a fully equipped kitchen (not separate) with an oven, dishwasher, etc. and plenty of things to cook with.  It has a small table for 4 people. TV with cable and DVR, as well as wireless internet.  The building was built in 2004 and is just one block from the Hudson River (which in the summertime is a major plus, as the beautiful Hudson River Park is now an incredible public park with free kayaking, etc.).  It's in the West Village.  The building has a gym on the second level and laundry on every other floor (including mine).  There is a 24 hour doorman/concierge as well.
Neighborhood is home to Magnolia Bakery, tons of famous restaurants/clubs (and people!), close to NYU, etc...
