Description

Your entree to Hopiland in northeastern Arizona includes a unique day-long tour of the Hopi mesas and an overnight stay at the Hopi Cultural Center with breakfast and dinner.  Few non-Hopi visitors have the opportunity to visit these communities each year.  Your guide is a traditional, well-respected Hopi elder, who will take you to incredible petroglyphs which are thought to be over 1000 years old, visit a Hopi community, and potentially visit some of the ancestral dwellings which can only be visited with a Hopi guide.  You will learn about Hopi culture, the ancient traditions of Hopi farming, their extensive history, and the deep respect for the land which informs their daily life.  Your stay at the Hopi Cultural Center places you in the center of a contemporary Hopi region.  Use it as your base to explore, shop for authentic Hopi crafts, and enjoy this unique area.

A priceless experience.

Special Instructions

Participants should be prepared to hike short distances and be equipped for the Arizona sun and ever-changing desert weather.
