Larry Kovach, a dog lover and a highly experienced guide, will lead a customized hike for your party of 4 humans and 2 four-footed companions through the cool forest of Flagstaff’s San Francisco Peaks. Whether you select a leisurely 2- to 3-mile hike or a more challenging exploration, Larry will share his extensive knowledge of the geology, flora and fauna of the area. Summer or fall, you’ll enjoy the crisp air and glorious scenery of the high country of Arizona. When you return to Flagstaff, you’ll dine at Flagstaff’s Fratelli Pizza, voted “Best of Flagstaff” for pizza for 7 consecutive years.
Special Instructions
Time frame begins when snow melts in the high country (late May) and ends at the end of August. Subject to availability of your guide. Friendly, trail-socialized dogs welcome but not required. Your dog can stay in our very pet-friendly home during your visit if your hotel does not allow pets. All participants should be physically fit to hike at or above 7,000 ft. elevation.
