Flagstaff artist Larisa Aukon was born in Riga, Latvia, and studied art from the age of twelve, earning a Masters in Education before emigrating to the United States.  Her vivid abstractions have been shown nationally and internationally, winning awards throughout the West.  “High Note” is a small, vivid gem of an oil painting – just 12 inches by 6 inches.  Larisa has captured a bright vase of flowers in her signature abstract style.  The interplay of color, shape and texture create a delightful valance of energy and calm.
