ALA Membership Resource Directory Use Agreement

1. The ALA Membership Resource Directory is to be used for reference and limited contact of ALA members. User will not copy the lisof members or enter the list into a database for mailing purposes. User will not, at any time, permit any ALA member information to pass into the hands of any other person, association, organization or company. Any prohibited use by the user shall constitute aaterial breach of this Agreement. For material breach of this Agreement, user will be liable to ALA for all damages (plus reasonable attorney fees, court costs, andexpenses, including expenses incurred in investigation) and loss of income.The ALA membership listings may not be used in conjunction with any communication which, in the sole opinion of ALA,would tend to mislead, misinform or deceive or which is distasteful in content or presentation. The ALA membership listings may not be used with any communication connected with the promotion or sale of any tobacco product, beer, wine or other spirits; any income or investment opportunities; any fund-raising effort or for lobbying for oragainst legislation without the prior written permission of ALA. This Agreement shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the state of Illinois.
