Christian Bradley West is a southern born artist living in Georgia. His work spans from photography to painting and drawing. In his body of work titled "CellphPortrait" Christian uses his cell phone to document his life through self portraits. The project began in response to not having anyone to photograph and a desire to create. In the present it has become a way to explore the many parts of a person's personality. Although Christian uses himself as the subject the work speaks to a larger more collective experience that involves the  layers of a humans existence and the need to connect to something or someone even if it is the "self". The work being entirely digital is printed using archival pigment inks on heavy weight matte paper and then coated with a thin layer of encaustic.
