Randy Gachet earned a BFA, concentrating in sculpture, from Birmingham Southern College in 1987. Currently, He teaches visual art at the Alabama School of Fine Arts in Birmingham. Gachet's sculpture has been included in the HomeGrown Southeast Exhibit 2007 at SECCA in Winston-Salem, NC. Awards include a 2008 Artist Fellowship from the Alabama State Council on the Arts. Permanent collections include the Huntsville Museum of Art, the Wiregrass Museum of Art and the Southern Environmental Center at Birmingham Southern College and private collections nationally.
