Description
Gentle hands- on guidance, as well as verbal instructions are given to help students gain proficiency in basic movements such as walking, sitting, bending, and standing. Students will also be asked to lie on a table fully clothed, to help integrate lessons. Lessons are thirty to sixty minutes in length.
Special Instructions
The Alexander Technique offers the opportunity for perceptual insight. It provides an approach to the organization and integration of movement and thought.  Through the act of changing one's habits, one learns to align inner space to the spatial/temporal environment, bringing the self into a relationship of resonance. The Alexander Technique teaches us to align the self.  In the process of tuning our relationship to gravity, we grow roots.  We aim to fly.
