Take a one week retreat at this beautiful home of Carrie Thomas in last two weeks of September or sometime in October 2007. (Thursday thru Sunday) Gull's Rest is located at 2366 State Route 129 in the Christmas Cove section of the Town of South Bristol. It is a year round home with spectacular ocean view. The house consists of two floors plus a basement with laundry facilities. The first floor entrance leads into a sun room with fine views of the Atlantic Ocean. There is a living room; kitchen with a dishwasher and microwave and a dining room (also with an ocean view) and a twin bedroom with a bathroom. The second floor has three bedrooms and one bathroom. The large front bedroom has a king size bed and ocean views. A second bedroom has twin beds and a door leading to an observation deck with the best of ocean views. The third bedroom is smaller with a single bed. There is a full supply of sheets/pillow covers and towels. The house is heated and the living room has a fireplace with an ample supply of firewood. A door in the kitchen leads to a small deck and a gas fired grill. The nearby village of South Bristol is primarily a fishing port. It has a few places where one can buy limited supplies of food and groceries and (of course) lobsters. For more extensive shopping the Town of Damariscotta has many; including a Hannaford supermarket. Within easy reach is the Pemaquid peninsula with a famous lighthouse. A one hour drive will reach the towns of Camden and Rockland.
The house will be available for one week. The dates may be in June of 2010 or September or October 2010
