Description

Ski-in, Ski-out cabin at Mt Abram for the President’s Day Weekend 2011 -   February 18 to 21st.

Three nights - Fri, Sat, Sun of the holiday weekend - checkout by 4 pm on Monday to allow a full day of skiing.

This is a ski-in/ski-out cabin directly on the Hay Trail at Mt Abram, Greenwood, Maine. Mt Abram is a small family centered resort with modern snowmaking capacity. There is a wholesome atmosphere here at the mountain. It is a great place to begin skiing but has enough to interest an expert in the family. The mountain is a 15 minute drive from Bethel, Maine and lots  of restaurants, a movie theater, and cross country skiing.   You are only 20 minutes from world class skiing at Sunday River for those who like the stimulation of a larger resort.  If your kids take a ski lesson, the instructors will even drop them off at the cabin!

This is an authentic log cabin with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.  2 sets of twins and a queen sized brand new Tempurpedic mattress are upstairs. It has a large great room with a double fireplace on the kitchen side and living room side. A television hooked up to the dish network plus dozens of movies selections are in the living room. There are games of all sorts and a library  of books to read. There is truly something for everyone here. It is a forced air heated cabin so it is plenty cozy on a cold winter night. Modern appliances and an electric cook top fill the kitchen.

There is a large deck with seating and a great view of Hay Trail and skiers zooming by.  Bring something to barbeque in the Big Green Egg, a wonderful wood smoker that can cook a turkey and MORE!

Downstairs in the unfinished basement there is a large wood cook stove which can be used to heat the space. This will be useful for you if you are  bringing children or teens as the big screen tv and video games are down here as well as a ping pong table and foosball. We like to cook on the stove too and I've served homemade pizza straight from the oven, and hot chocolate from the stove top to our cold skiers.

Skis and boots are kept down here as you ski in/out from the basement. There is another set of twin bunk beds which we have used as overflow. The woodstove was able to heat the basement enough to be comfortable for a night.

Adults must be present (no college groups). No Pets and no smoking inside the cabin.
