Enjoy your own Meredith Monk in two dimensions. Ms. Monk has very generously provided this numbered print from the limited edition Songs of Ascension created in collaboration with Ann Hamilton. 

The print, created in 2008, includes an excerpt from "Falling", the sheet music from her original work Songs of Ascension. Songs is described as exploring "the spiritual, physical and vocal notions of ascension across geography and time."

Ms. Monk is a composer, singer, director/choreographer and creator of new opera, music theater works, films and installations. A pioneer in what is now called "extended vocal technique" and "interdisciplinary performance," Monk creates works that thrive at the intersection of music and movement, image and object, light and sound in an effort to discover and weave together new modes of perception.
