Tamar Kaprelian won the OneRepublic "Apologize" Cover Contest in March 2008, and as a reward Ryan Tedder produced her song "A New Day," which went to be her first single.  "A New Day" is known for being played over Lauren's departure in the finale of The Hills, Season 5.
