Every girl from 4 to 104 knows the simple joy of a tea party.

What better place to enjoy a tea party than in a room entirely pink and gold?  UpStairs on the Square in Harvard Square is just that.  Every Saturday afternoon from 3-5 these lovely ladies serve a traditional three-tiered afternoon tea with a savory treat, an assortment of tea sandwiches, UpStairs Sweets & a pot of tea. 

Then head to The Exchange at the Wenham Tea House for a more historical look at things.  This jewel in the center of Wenham stays true to their history as the oldest continually running teahouse in the country.  They offer a selection of fine teas, gourmet sanwiches, and petite desserts Thursday through Saturday from 2:30pm to 4:15pm.

A few exrta spoon fulls of sugar and a great hat and you will be well on your way to the tea parties you used to hold as a little girl.
