This 80 x 90 quilt features the HLHS Red Hornet among machine pieced blocks of red, blue, and biege cottons. The fused and appliqued hornet is surrounded by blue "lightning bolt" foundation pieced blocks. The top was bordered by stripes of navy, red, and a blue and red apple print then machine quilted to a backing of molttled tan cotton. The final touch was the red heart embroidered with the passage from Philippians 4:13.
