Suzuki Method Piano Lessons

Item Number: 141
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
Two introductory music lessons (general piano and/or Suzuki Piano)
The Suzuki method is a way of learning music through immersion in a musical environment. Traditional methods of instruction require young students to begin reading music immediately, before they can play. The Suzuki method, in contrast, is modeled after the way children learn to speak their native language. A child hears words constantly and imitates the sounds. His or her efforts are encouraged, and as the child learns to speak and form sentences, the basic building blocks of language and reading are introduced: letters, words, simple sentences. The child learns to read only after learning to speak. The experience always comes before the written representation.
