Gaetano's staff will serve you pasta & red sauce just like "Mamma" used to make along with beer or wine, salad and dessert. to learn about Gaetono's mafia history. The restaurant was originally owned by the Smalldone family, Denver's premiere mafia family. During the dinner party the ghosts of "Flip Flop", "Checkers" and Chauncey Smalldone will be lurking around, reminding us of the racketeering and loan sharking that once took place in the basement of Gaetano's, while delicious Italian dinners were served upstairs. Also of interest is the "Robin Hood" ways the family had of helping the Northeast Denver community by giving out milk, bread and other handouts to families in need.
