Châteauneuf-du-Pape   Vertical Wine Tasting

Craig will be pulling 5 bottles of Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape from his cellar for a vertical wine tasting.

A vertical wine tasting provides a flight of wines from different vintages (years) of the same wine type from the same winery are tasted. This emphasizes differences between various vintages. Previous tasting notes from each vintage will be discussed.

Dinner will accompany the tasting of this full bodied red wine as well as appetizers paired with a white Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and dessert paired with a 2001 Grande Maison Monbazillac Cuvée des Monstres. This event is suited for the oenophile as well as those who just learned the definition of a vertical tasting!
