Hike, scramble, or climb a '14er' with professional athlete and world class alpinist, Don Bowie. This auction item is for up to 4 people who want to tour the backcountry, hike some trails, or climb a mountain, accompanied by a premier Himalayan climber who has summited peaks like K2-the world's hardest mountain! Your trip is for up to 4 days/3 nights in the Colorado backcountry, and will be tailored to suit the skills, abilities and fitness level of the winning party. Tents, cooking equipment and some other basic climbing equipment (if required) are included.
Special Instructions
This climbing experience is offered from late August- September 2010 at select locations in Colorado, as agreed to by both Don and the winning party. Participants must bring their own basic equipment, sleeping bags, clothing and food provisions for whatever period they plan to experience.
An alternative climb location would be Mt. Whitney in California-the highest summit in the contiguous United States with an elevation of 14,505 feet.
