Here are just a few testimonials about Jim Tunney,
from clients of his private training as well as his Bu-yah! classes:
Jim Tunney, Boxing Coach, Private Trainer, Motivator, and Inspiration to push me beyond my limits. Jim Tunney taught me the components of Boxing and illustrated to me the knowledge and skills necessary to train in a safe and effective manner. He showed me the correct training techniques to avoid injury and prevent problems before they arise. Tunney represents a level of proficiency, knowledge and professionalism in instructional techniques essential to private trainers. Jim trains with valuable techniques designed to enhance and meet your individual training goals. I went from flabby to fabulous! Hard work and dedication to the Tunney recipe has made my body stronger and more fit than most women in the gym today. He is a pure inspiration to me and a dedicated trainer to what my body needs to go further to attain my goals.        His boxing and fitness abilities go way beyond any trainer in the gym, he goes out-side the realm of normal and gives you that extra motivation and drive that gets the results! - Debra, age 39

I have been taking one on one boxing lessons with Jim Tunney for the last 12 months. My weight has decreased ten pounds while my endurance level has increased three-fold . I enjoy his boxing curriculum over the mundane day to day weight lifting and running. - Keith Jacobson, age 44
What I love about Jim's "Bu-yah!" workout is that virtually anyone at any fitness level can do it! The moves are all basic so you don't feel like you look uncoordinated or can't keep up. Jim always gives a great class, he has such a high energy level and a great sense of humor. The music is thumping, and you can't help but get lost in all of that. You forget about how hard you're working and the hour always seems to fly by! - Diane, age 35

I am a former competitive athlete at the high school and college levels. Until recently, I had found it difficult to find a workout that was physically challenging for me yet less demanding that I go 'all out' at all times. After taking Jim's class I began to feel the physical satisfaction that I had once achieved on the athletic field. It was a relief to find that I could get out of Jim's class what I wanted to put into it. Some days I want to go 'all out', but other days I want to take it a little slower. Within a couple weeks I found Jim's motivation I wanted to push myself more and more. I am now in the next shape of my life, both physically and mentally. - RJ Key, age 26

Jim Tunney is all about fun. He is sweet, devilish and will work 201bs off you without you ever losing the smile on your face. His enthusiasm is contagious and all of his clients adore him. I first started working with Jim when I was 47 years old. A friend recommended his "Bu-yah!" class and I started to go mainly because of the music. The music is a mix of all styles and is so good that you forget that you are too old to go out to clubs. After I had gotten to the point that I could take the class without crying from soreness the next morning, I became brave enough to hire Jim as a personal trainer. Because Jim is an athlete his goals are geared to working to get your fitness level up. The harder you are able to work, the more your body will automatically change. Without the pressure of measuring your waist or weight every month and just working hard (and laughing even harder) your body changes before you know it. I am still working with Jim at 50 and my doctor (who also works with him) says that I am in better physical condition than I was a 40 and I ran a marathon. He's a doll, he's my pal and if he can't motivate you to get in shape, nobody can. - Abbie, age 50
