Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless gas. It is produced by incomplete combustion of fuel, such as natural gas, oil, coal, wood and kerosene. It may come from appliances such as furnaces, gas fireplaces, water heaters, gas ovens, gas dryers, and automobile engines.

Many people confuse carbon monoxide poisoning with flu symptoms and fail to get the assistance they need. Symptoms might be headache, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, confusion and drowsiness.

It has been reported that more than 200 people in the United States die every year from carbon monoxide produced by improperly maintained fuel-burning appliances.  That’s why Bryant and Total Comfort Systems HVAC recommends following a regular schedule of furnace maintenance in addition to placing a Carbon Monoxide Alarm in every sleeping location and/or one on every floor of your home.

Protect your family from the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning which can be fatal.
