During the month of August, 2010, Angie Meadows and Stacey Hogan Tietze will take your child and a friend (age 5+) on the adventure of a lifetime: a field trip in search of Monarch caterpillars. Lessons learned will include the life cycle of the Monarch, their annual migration to Mexico, and their natural habitat. Your child will return with a rearing cage, a food source, and one or more Monarch caterpillars. Your family with have the opportunity to watch the caterpillar form a chrysalis and eventually emerge as a beautiful Monarch butterfly.
