About Moon Mountain Vineyard:

Located high in the Mayacamas Mountains on the Sonoma side of Mount Veeder, Moon Mountain Vineyard overlooks the Sonoma Valley. The steep, southern-facing slopes consist of volcanic rock and red adobe clay mixed with soils derived from volcanic ash and lava. These frugal soils and the stress of mountain growing forces the vines to produce smaller grapes with concentrated flavors.

Organic farming helps cultivate complexity in our certified organic vineyards by keeping the sparse volcanic soils fertile, so the vines are in balance and healthy. These vines produce grapes with deep colors and rich flavors, which yield a complex wine with a pronounced signature of place. 

Our certified organic winemaking facility, have grown grapes on this rugged terrain to produce world-class Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignons. Known for our Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, we also produce small amounts of estate-grown Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Syrah, plus Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc from Sonoma County.
