Description
A picture is worth a thousand words and just as many wonderful memories when you see this car. This iconic automobile can be yours May 15 at the Benefit's Live Auction.
This 1965 Mustang is red with a white convertible. It has been cosmetically restored over the years and as it has very low mileage for the age of the car, it has predominately-original equipment. RODWORKS, Inc. of Santa Monica has been through the car and it is solid and reliable. Following a complete inspection, the following work was performed:
- Pulled the engine and installed all new gadgets, painted and detailed the block;
- Installed a 1990's T-5 Speed Transmission and new Smooth Clutch Cable;
- New Mustang Style Shifter;
- Complete Tune-Up;
- Complete Rebuild performed on the Carburetor (HOLLY);
- New Brakes all around, Front Disks and Rear Drums;
- New Radiator;
- New Steering Wheel; Bucket Seat Covers & Seat Belts;
- New Speedometer Cable Gear; bumpers, tail lights, bezels, and horn.
The car's power top works well and it comes with two boots, one red and one white. It has an aftermarket AM/FM radio with a cassette tape player. The tires are nearly new (MAX 10% wear).
RODWORKS Inc. will warranty the car for one year against normal wear (KEPING IN MIND THE CAR IS 45 YEARS OLD!) All other services requested will be performed at COST. If you choose to have an automatic transmission installed, RODWORKS Inc. will charge their cost of $2,800.
RODWORKS, Inc. will provide a car cover, delivery must be taken at RODWORKS, Inc. If prospective bidders have any questions they may feel free to call Mike Murphy at their convenience: 310-589-0680 Home or 702-335-9633 Cell.
ABSENTEE BIDDING: If you are unable to attend the Benefit and wish to bid on this automobile, please contact Barbara Carlberg in Viewpoint's Advancement Office before noon on Friday May 14 to make arrangements.
