Description
These hand-hammered sterling silver drop earrings and sterling silver lotus crescent necklace have been created to bring peace and hope to its wearer. Rooted in its mission to inspire each person's own individual truth, Satya Jewelry brings a feeling of purpose and serenity.
Blending spiritual symbols, healing gemstones and sacred meanings, Satya Jewelry is created with grace, style and a global consciousness. Founders/designers and long time friends Satya and Beth translate their spiritual exploration into jewelry with the intention to inspire each persons individual truth.
Having spent years developing their knowledge of the jewelry industry, Satya and Beth decided to pursue their dream of designing their own line while on separate soul-searching journeys. “I was in Thailand immersed in Buddhist culture while Satya was in the Bahamas at the Sivananda Yoga Ashram engaged in a month long teacher training course,” explains Beth. Satya adds, “At the end of my training, I was given the spiritual name Satya, meaning “truth”. We were both excited to use the name for our collection and create jewelry with beauty, truth and meaning.”
Satya is inspired by the designer’s many travels across the world, encountering cultures, temples, villages, museums and local markets. Such diverse elements as personal meditation, Thai textiles, ancient Indian coins, Sanskrit words and castings from found objects (including shells, stone carvings and leaves) evolve into unique designs.
Each collection combines semi-precious gemstones, with sterling and gold. Stones are chosen for their healing properties such as garnet (grounding and inner strength), sapphire (fulfills dreams and desires) and tourmaline (inspiration). Each piece is tagged so that the wearer will know the healing property of the stone and the meaning of the pendant.
The entire line is showcased in the Satya boutique, a peaceful setting of river stones and natural slate. A golden Buddha sits in the window, and the feeling is of a quiet oasis in the middle of the urban landscape.
Satya designs have been worn by Courteney Cox, Susan Sarandon, Scarlett Johansen and Rachel Bilson and are featured in films “Broken Flowers”, “The Stepford Wives”, and on the hit reality show “Queer Eye For the Straight Guy.” Satya was named “Best Everyday Jewelry” by New York Magazine’s Best of New York issue.
Satya donates a percentage of sales to children’s organizations through the Satya Foundation.
