CMA's Exhibitions
Exhibitions at the Children's Museum of the Arts are designed to create dialogue among museum visitors young and old. Each exhibition is selected to inspire children and their families in their art-making at CMA and beyond. Our goal is to create a safe environment for children to express themselves freely and to foster each child's confidence in his or her unique response to the artwork they see at CMA.
CMA maintains a collection of over 2,000 pieces of art made by young people dating back to the 1930's, and from over 50 different countries. We display selections from this collection and also mount special exhibitions of children's artwork and artwork by adults that is oriented toward children.
