Description

This bracelet in shades of deep ocean blue and green is made from seed beads and paper beads, hand-strung by the Haitians in The Apparent Project's beading program. The paper beads are coated with an acrylic, clear substance that makes them water-resistant. This bracelet measures 7" and will fit most any child or small adult wrist.  This piece of jewelry was made by Johnny, who is the youngest artisan at The Apparent Project. At 14 years old, he is one of the kids in the feeding program. It wasn't long until he came knocking on the gate to ask for water for his two little siblings that he was caring for by himself. His mother has been ill on and off and he has been such an amazing and responsible young man in caring for his family. He has an exciting future and so much potential.
