Description

BIDDING WILL CONTINUE AT LIVE EVENT!

Have you ever wondered just how a new bridge becomes reality?  Do you have a teen in your life with aspirations in civil engineering?  Come join Kevin Heffern of Burns & McDonnell for a taste of a career as a structural engineer.  Ideal for two guests, this experience includes a hands-on lesson in all aspects of bridge engineering from design codes and modeling software to cost estimates and construction plans.  The Saturday or Sunday itinerary will include about two hours of time at the Burns & McDonnell office in Chesterfield followed by a walkabout below the new I-64 bridges over Lindbergh and Clayton-Warson (two of Kevin's recent projects).

This is a Live Event Item.

Special Instructions

Kevin Heffern is a parent at Shining Rivers Waldorf School. He is a licensed Missouri professional engineer and Illinois structural engineer. After eight years of designing "real-life" bridges and buildings, he still gets entranced by the wonder of Legos.
