Val Valandani is a photographer working on the San Francisco Peninsula. Her evocative images suggest that someone was just there and has left behind something undone. She has exhibited at the Los Gatos Art Museum and other venues.
"This photo was made in Stoningtown, Maine - a tiny fishing village on Deer island. The floats were freshly painted, not yet having the identifying stripes painted, which are unique to each fisherman." Val Valandani, December 3, 1991
