Shaun White Signed "Sports Illustrated"
With big air and big hair, Shaun White won the gold medal in the halfpipe at the Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy. White, also known as The Flying Tomato thanks to his wild red hair, won the event with a spectacular run of giant air...and sick tricks. And when the snow melts, Shaun puts his snowboard a away and pulls out his skateboard. An accomplished two-sport athlete, White is the first person to compete at both Winter and Summer X Games in two different sports (snowboarding and skateboarding). And compete well, bringing home gold and silver from both Games. Only 20, Shaun was nicknamed Future Boy when he first started competing as a pro at the age of 13 because he was already pushing the limits of snowboarding. That hasn't changed one bit. He is this generation's Tony Hawk when it comes to boarding. Put simply, every kid wants to be Shaun White. This awesome action photograph, was taken during the Torino games and is hand-signed by Shaun, along with the inscription "06 Gold." Framed in thick black wood, UV-protective glass, red, white & blue double matting , this beauty is a great gift for that special boarder. |
