Description

For the Year of Literature the children were asked to choose a favorite poem.

Shadow Race By Shel Silverstein

Every Time I've race my shadow when the sun is at my back, it always gets ahead of me, always gets the best of me.

But when I've raced my shadow when my face is towards the sun, I WON!

Inspired by these words the children transformed a Vietnamese clay pot into a work of art.  Uniting both the garden theme and their chosen poem the children made faces out of clay that were painted and fired and then applied to the pot. Not only will you will find all kinds of faces representing all kinds of personalities but you'll also find the actual poem stamped in clay.

Cherish this oversized clay pot for many years to come either indoor or outside.

This is a Live Event Item.
