The Talmudist and kabbalist Moses Galante (c.1520 c.1613) was born in Rome, ordained by Joseph Caro at age 22, studied Kabbalah with Moses Cordovero, and served as the chief judge of the Rabbinic Court in Safed as the successor of Moses di Trani.

This book is representative of 16h century messianic Safed. It attempts to document messianic references in THE BOOK OF ECCLESIASTES and to pinpoint the expected date of the coming of the Messiah. From this work one can glean important information on the Safed of its day.
