On the Barre opened its doors in June of 2003 under the direction and ownership of Angela Stankiewicz. She began her dance career at the age of two and hasn’t stopped since! She went on to join a traveling dance company that performed for Disney World, Universal Studios and Norwegian and Carnival cruise lines. She has taught dance and gymnastics throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts including A Dancer’s World and Arnold’s Gymnastics Academy. Angela is a member of and is certified to teach through Dance Teacher’s Club of Boston and Greater Brockton Dance Teacher’s Association.

Our philosophy is to provide a comfortable and stress-free environment for our students and their parents. We want to make your dance experience as enjoyable as possible while providing you with the best dance training available. We offer a broad range of classes for boys and girls ages 2 through adult including ballet, jazz, tap, acrobatics, lyrical and hip-hop. Our programs emphasize proper technical and physical development while instilling a love and appreciation for the art form of dance.
