The works of Niwot, Colo. artist Donald Sayers have been published in Strokes of Genius Z, published in 2009 by No Light Books which selected his work as "Best Drawing," and in 2008 Spash 10, selected as "Best of Watercolor." He has exhibited widely and received several awards, including Best of Show at the Pikes Peak International Watermedia XIV. His mask is loosely based on a photo he took in 2005 of Hara, a classmate in a drawing class at Front Range Community College. He used micro-pen and acrylic.
