Denver artist Chuck Danford, a graduate of the Colorado Institute of Art, created this mask for Earth, Wind & Fire. He designed the contemporary African mask to symbolize the group's musical roots and emergence into modern jazz and R&B. Chuck had a 35-year career in graphic design before starting his second career as a watercolorist. He has earned numerous local, regional and national awards and distinctions for his work which is in many public and private collections.
