For Laurie Lavnhar, artistic expression became her healing path when she was stricken with a rare eye cancer. "My artistic gravity is found in creating colors as complex as life," she says. "Colors mix in an almost magical way, yet are transferable with various mediums. Most of my work is done using colored pencil and inks. It is most often feminine, colorful and whimsical." Her mask reveals an earthy, artistic and feminine woman in transition with metallic finishes revealing her strength and heart.
