Russ Spina, vice president/creative director for Nickelodeon's character art/illustration department, created this mask in celebration of Dora's 10th Anniversary. "I wanted to go outside the mask and bring the observer on a journey into the rich and colorful world that Dora explores every day," he says. Russ began his career as a Walt Disney illustrator and has illustrated several children's books, including Disney's Haunted Mansion Pop-Up. He joined Nickelodeon in 1998.
