Rayna J. Wandel is a Denver native whose love of art began at a young age when she flourished in drawing, especially in illustration and animation. At the University of Colorado at Denver, Rayna began to see her potential as a serious artist in her studio classes -- including figure drawing, drawing, figure and acrylic painting. She also earned a degree at the University of Denver in Art History where she earned numerous accolades and honors in the Art History department. Her mask is dedicated to the memory of her grandmother, Marion Shaiman, who spent her last days at Hospice. The treasure chest represents the treasure that Hospice and it's staff are to patients and families.
